objective:

Provide project management for the projects across the enterprise that require cross functional groups to ensure compliance with the organizations project management process. This includes the responsibility for delivering projects as planned and ensuring the status of these efforts are communicated to the project stakeholders as well as the Executive team.

Reports To:

Director of IT

Duties:
  • Manages multiple cross discipline project efforts and team concurrently

  • Ensures compliance with the process and defined deliverables for the GL group project management process which includes the following:

    • Project Charter Development and Maintenance

    • Supports the development of the Cost Benefit and Market Demand Analysis for proposed efforts

    • Initial Project Estimate and Timeline

    • Facilitates Project Kick-off Meeting

    • Facilitates Phase Go/No Go Meetings

    • Revises Project Estimate and Timeline

    • Risk/Issue Tracking and Management

    • Communicates Project Status to the Executive Team

    • Manages the Change Control Process

  • Provides feedback on Project Team Members to the applicable leadership to whom they are responsible

  • Manages resource conflicts and priorities for active and planned projects

  • Executes assigned projects within the planned timeline and financial commitment

  • Provides Project Management process mentoring for stakeholders

     

    Qualifications

     

  • Specialized Knowledge

    • Publishing industry experience preferred but not required

       

  • < >

    Manage project resources that are responsible to other leaders within the organization

  • Risk/Issue identification and management

  • Execution of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodologies (Agile Preferred)

  • Coaching and Mentoring technical and non-technical resources

  • Process analysis and improvement

    • 5+ Years of successful project management of multiple concurrent efforts that include both technical and business focused deliverables.
