Booksource Sales Consultant - Independent Contractor

Booksource Sales Consultants are the company's main presence in our sales territories, creating, maintaining, and actively sustaining connections with key decision makers in the Pre-K to 12th grade education market. Our Sales Consultants contribute by retaining and growing business through proactive nurturing of customer relationships and collaborative partnership with their Literacy Accounts Managers. We look for effective Sales Consultants who can engage our customers and help us grow the business in both existing accounts and through forging connections with new districts.
This is an independent, commission-based, 1099 sales representative position.
We are currently looking for Independent Sales Reps in the following areas:
Washington: Spokane, Richland &Yakima
Alabama: Huntsville, Birmingham, & Mobile
Nevada: Las Vegas
Louisiana: New Orleans
Utah: Salt Lake City
Grows sales in assigned territories & provides exceptional customer experience. Resources include Booksource National Sales Manager, Literacy Account Managers and Customer Care teams.
Develops sales strategy that supports success in marketing, products, and acquisition of new business.
Participates in Booksource trainings to acquire and continually develop the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively establish Booksource as an industry expert and strategically position our products and services.
Follows up on Booksource genterated leads from Booksource Classroom sign-ups and National/Regional trade shows.
We are looking for someone with:
Established background as a sales professional and knowledge of the K-12 education system.
Sales experience or aptitude via enthusiasm for the process of investigating, creating, and fulfilling customers’ needs.
A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
Passion and enthusiasm for books and literacy.
Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, relationship, and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to travel within territory for sales calls, trade shows, and other sales opportunities.
